This year at Santa Ynez School, we will offer two math classes in 7th and 8th grade, Pre-algebra and Algebra 1. We are offering both Pre-algebra and Algebra 1 to our 7th grade students and all of our 8th grade students are in Algebra 1.
The Algebra 1 course is aligned with Santa Ynez Union High School's program. Students that successfully complete the course and pass the End-Of-Year exam from the high school will receive Algebra 1 credit on their high school transcript.
The Pre-algebra class addresses the 7th grade California State Standards.
